OnGas horizontal bullet vessel at Springhill prison was able to contain more gas than was consented. The vessel had to be reduced in size (shortened).
Key Features:
- Decomissioned existing vessel at the prison.
- Crane and transported to PFS shop.
- Cut vessel through the diameter between supports and removed section of the barrel.
- Internal Gas distribution pipe was shortened and new domed end added.
- Shortened barrel joined using Sub-Arc welding equipment & rotators.
- Nozzles blanked off and new nozzles added to suit site piping.
- Modified existing ladder and platform.
- Built new platform to give access to both sides of the tank and all nozzles and valves.
- Painted vessel and transport to site install on new pedestals.
- Brought gas vessel back online.
