PFS has for years during the annual shuts done refurbishment work on the OJI boilers. In the shut in late 2019 PFS worked on both the #8 Primary Boiler and the #5 Recovery boiler.
Key Elements:
- Removal of the grate to access tubes.
- Welding of tubes from inside the boiler.
- Welding of tubes formed under the grate.
- Maintenance of grate drives and rollers.
